A quilt is worth 1000 words

I have to take the time to commend my mother on her creativity. She is definition: woman who does not give herself enough credit. She and my dad showered me with gifts for my college graduation...but I'll spare you the bragging and move right on to a gift that anybody could do. She made me a quilt...but not just any quilt....

That is a quilt Mama B made out of t-shirts that represent my life...some which I haven't seen in YEARS. It's big enough to be a comforter and is oh-so cozy!

For all of my readers that are familiar with the Magnolia Blossom Festival (a festival from my hometown of Magnolia, Arkansas), she has kept every shirt from the beginning and almost has enough to make her very own MBF t-shirt quilt! Isn't this a wonderful idea for all of you new mothers...or frankly, for any who has dedicated their life to something and has the t-shirt to prove it(retirement travels?)! The possibilities are endless! What do you think? I wanna hear what your quilt would consist of...Do tell!

****Update: I scored the internship with Make-A-Wish Foundation and I will be creating their marketing/PR plan for their "Letters from Santa" fundraiser (among other things...this is just the one I'm most excited about -- I can't beleive they're giving me such responsibility!). I would like to continue looking for jobs, though, so keep your ears perked for me! Thanks you all!

  1. Congrats on the internship! And I love the quilt. That's what I need to do with all of my cheerleading t-shirts.
